Cotswold stone is a unique Jurassic limestone. Rich in fossils, its beautiful texture provides the perfect rustic charm for those looking to create a bespoke flooring design. Whilst its colour initially sits across a spectrum of yellows and greys, when weathered, the tone is often described as honey or golden.
The original colour of Cotswold limestone varies depending on where in the region it was quarried. Stone produced in the north and north-east of the Cotswolds has rich honey hues, central and southern areas possess golden tones, whereas stone uncovered in Bath is a light pearly-white.
All of our Cotswold style flagstone tiles carefully replicate the colours and textures found in the original material. We ensure our Cotswold style tiles are as authentic as the real thing, using genuine limestone to create a flagstone that perfectly mirrors the beautiful tones found in Cotswold stone.
